Chantal Brine | Vice President, Youth Employment

Chantal is a results-oriented business leader with 7+ years expertise in human capital deployment and human resources, who enjoys working with leaders that want to grow their business and make positive change in the communities they serve. As a specialist in team communication, strategic planning, problem solving, and change management she excels in the art of GRSD (getting the “right” stuff done).

Chantal’s interest in the psychology behind human interaction is what brought her to Saint Mary’s University from Bermuda, where she focused on Psychology and Human Resources. Following graduation, she decided to make Nova Scotia her home and began supporting leaders in the private and public sector through her role as Business Consultant with PONO Consultants. Following that, she was responsible for leading the development and execution of the human capital strategy for a North American technology company, Unique Solutions Design Ltd. She currently serves as an advisor to a Nova Scotia based technology business, Vendeve.

Her background allows her to bring objectivity and human-ness to her work, which has included: helping business owners develop their growth strategy, career and/or executive coaching, and working with managers to develop and execute their people strategy while assisting them in building the right team to achieve results. As a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs, executives and staff alike, her passion for building people is at the core of her work in ensuring that employees are aligned with the company’s vision.

In the community, Chantal sits on the Atlantic Regional Advisory Board for the Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers; in the past she has served on the youth employment sub- committee for the One Nova Scotia Coalition.  She also volunteers with organizations committed to supporting youth and female leadership development, such as Techsploration, Junior Achievement, and SheEO Atlantic.
