Associate Insurance Consultant

Our client, an established, national financial institution, is seeking an Associate Insurance Consultant to join their growing team in Halifax.

As an Associate Insurance Consultant you play an integral role as part of the Insurance Consultant team. The Associate Insurance Consultant will focus on term insurance, disability, annuities and straightforward strategies (tax protector, estate reallocations and insured annuity).

Reporting to the Market Director of Wealth and Management Client Solutions, the Associate Insurance Consultant is responsible for achieving annual sales targets while leading the end to end insurance sales process for target opportunities. The Associate Insurance Consultant builds strong relationships throughout the region by meeting with advisors, relationship managers, clients, partners and experts to position and deliver solutions with a coordinated client centric process. The Associate Insurance Consultant increases awareness of advisors and helps to identify insurance opportunities by meeting with advisors to discuss individual clients within their business, providing insights to Market Directors that will support their own advisor efforts. Providing educational support, the Associate Insurance Consultant conducts seminars for clients and advisors to educate and facilitate product and strategy awareness campaigns. The Associate Insurance Consultant provides marketing and promotional support by discussing and implementing marketing strategies and distributing supporting materials on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate will have a Life Insurance License, along with demonstrated sales and marketing skills and a strong customer service orientation. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 + years of experience in the insurance industry, combined the ability to take initiative and work independently to achieve established goals. Additional designations, such as CFP, CLU, CSC are considered assets.
