Business Analyst

Our client, a growing SaaS company in Charlottetown, is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team. 

As the ideal candidate, you will be a key member of a highly collaborative team to support the software development lifecycle in an agile environment. Lead multiple cross-functional initiatives (products, services, processes, and support technology) that require flexibility, adaptability, innovative thinking, and self-motivation to succeed. You will be responsible for conducting meetings to gather feedback for requirements, workflow diagrams, wireframes, use cases, scenarios and other formats, which will be used to provide direction to developers and project teams. Based on feedback from the product owner and other stakeholders you will decompose the product vision and features into user stories and a list of prioritized features. The Business Analyst will be the point of contact and will help identify solutions to business, technology and customer problems and drive improvements and standards across the technology department through process optimization and agile strategy.

As the successful candidate, you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role combined with post-secondary education (business administration, computer science or information technology). You understand software development life cycle concepts, lean and agile methodologies and have experience with business and software requirements analysis, design and verification. The business analyst enjoys solving problems, can adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment and has a strong aptitude for learning new technologies. You are self-motivated, passionate and have excellent communication, presentation, analytical and problem solving skills.
