Cabinet Maker

Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Our client, who does custom commercial millwork, is seeking a Cabinet Maker to join their team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

As the ideal candidate, you will work within the shop and out in the field for multiple projects.  You will study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made and operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortises, shapers and hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components. Trim joints and fit parts and sub-assemblies together to form complete unit using glue and clamps and reinforce joints using nails screws or other fasteners. You will sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finish products.

As the successful candidate you have between 2-5 years of experience working in residential or commercial cabinetry. You have the ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints and can visualize a finish product from drawings, blueprints or other specifications. You have a high degree of accuracy and the mathematical aptitude for problem solving this type of work.
