Our client, a manufacturing client in Halifax with global operations, is seeking a Contracts Manager to join their team.

The Contracts Manager is a key resource in the organization and oversees the commercial contract management needs of the organization. As the ideal candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring that business and commercial arrangements are entered, maximize the commercial benefit to the company and are in accordance with applicable law. You will be responsible for performing contract reviews, participating in negotiations and acting as the primary contact for customers/subcontractors during the execution of contracts. You will identify, problem solve and manage contractual risk and interface with legal counsel when necessary. You will manage import and exports compliance including logistics and permits required for shipments of product and data.

As the successful candidate, you have at least 10 years of proven commercial or contracts management experience with post secondary education in Engineering, Law or Commerce. You have recent experience managing ITAR and CGP regulations and have experience drafting and negotiating long term supply and purchase agreements, collaboration and/or teaming agreements and non-disclosure agreements. You are someone with strong negotiating, relationship building and decision-making skills. You are action oriented, political savvy and have a high business acumen.
