Director of International Marketing

On behalf of our client, IMP Aerospace, we are seeking a Director of International Marketing. This key role within the Aerospace & Defence division will report to the Vice President of International Marketing to assist and manage key Marketing and Business Development strategic initiatives.
As the ideal candidate, you will be a key contributor by conducting market research, identifying new opportunities, gathering intelligence, conducting competitor analysis, developing business cases, preparing and managing proposals and overseeing marketing and sales support. In addition, you will be responsible for the development and leadership of Campaign Capture Strategies and objectives. You will assist in the development of Win Themes, identify customer solutions and consult with management to balance required proposal resources. You will help maintain and advance customer relationships. You will be responsible for the identification & recommendation of project/program teaming relationships and identification of corporate partners and subcontractors. You will be responsible for the development of international markets, managing international Offset programs and assist with public relations and communication coordination. You will interact with necessary internal departments on proposal campaigns and assist in the identification of potential acquisition targets. You will meet marketing and sales objectives by recruiting, training and coaching your team as well as conducting performance reviews and enforcing applicable policies and procedures.
As a high-level individual contributor, the successful Director of International Marketing will have 7 to 10 years’ experience in a similar capacity with combined experience in two or more of the following: Business Development, Sales, Contracts, Product Support or Program Management. You will have post-secondary education in Science, Engineering or Business and/or equivalent military or industry experience. Experience as a Capture Team Leader is highly desirable. You possess strong business acumen and a proven ability to identify, develop and close complex business opportunities and possess strong Proposal Development & Management skills. You effectively leverage close working relationship across Divisions and Business Units with stakeholders, peers, partners, as well as direct reports to successfully navigate challenging business decisions. You are self-motivated, well organized, professional and have superior interpersonal and communication skills. You bring international business and aerospace & defence industry experience as well as knowledge of government procurement practices and DND programs.
For this role, you must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CPG), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security clearances.
