The Director, Strategic Initiatives will work with Shaw Group’s business units to define and drive strategic, operational, and organizational improvement. The Director, Strategic Initiatives will partner with stakeholders to deliver insights that drive decision-making, execution, and investment for critical initiatives. Reporting to the Director, Finance & Special Projects, the successful candidate will build and manage a portfolio of high-value, cross-functional projects. To do so successfully, s/he must establish relationships at all levels of the organization to identify, scope, and deliver high-impact projects. The successful candidate will be given exposure to a broad array of business challenges and will have the opportunity to deliver bottom-line impact to the business.
The overall mandate for this position is to create value for Shaw Group in different ways such as identifying incremental revenue and cost reduction opportunities, studying and improving productivity, and evaluating new business models and opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, driven, and organized problem-solver with exceptional relationship-building and communication skills. To be successful, you must enjoy the process of generating buy-in and working with internal and external stakeholders and partners. A strong entrepreneurial spirit and desire to directly impact the business are essential.
Various educational backgrounds can succeed in this role, however we are seeking candidates with proven experience in business analysis, performance management, continuous improvement, project management, and change management.
