Engineering Manager

Our client, a leader in their industry with a global network is seeking an Engineering Manager to join their team in rural Nova Scotia.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will have a key role in creating a competitive advantage by developing innovation cost effective solutions.  You will be responsible for enhancement and lifecycle management of the current portfolio of equipment and are researched focused as you become an expert in exceeding your customers’ expectations and having a strong understanding of industry trends.

The Engineering Manager will proactively identify new product concepts and opportunities to advance the company’s competitive position and direct engineering resources on design concepts to models and drawing packages so they are suitable for production.

As the successful candidate,an engineering degree with a Professional Engineering Designation (preferably mechanical engineering, but other disciplines will be considered) combined with 7+ years of engineering management experience with 3+ years in a design leadership role. You are someone who leads by example and can clearly communicate the expectations to your team to collaborate and create a culture of service excellence. You are goal oriented and can make business decisions to ensure long-term success of the company.
