Enterprise IT Strategy Lead

Halifax, Nova Scotia 

Our client is a dynamic IT company with both Product Development and Professional Services opportunities. They serve clients throughout Canada and the United States with headquarters in Atlantic Canada. We are currently seeking a Practice Lead for their IT Strategy and Enterprise Innovation. The Practice Lead will provide their customers with thought leadership and advisory services in the areas of IT Strategy and Enterprise Innovation. The successful candidate will work closely with customers to ensure that their ongoing and future technology investments are well aligned with business strategy, and will help clients identify transformative opportunities within their business.

Ideally the successful candidate will posses strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture along with a proven consultative ability in professional services. Key responsibilities will include:

•        Work with client stakeholders to understand broad business requirements and strategy, and to devise multi-year IT roadmaps that effectively align with the identified needs of business.

•        Evaluate client’s technology investment alternatives for strategic fit, feasibility, and financial impact;

•        Advise clients on the evolution of their IT Operating Model and associated Governance process; support client IT leaders in articulation of the strategic aims of the organization, and in defining the key components of their IT function (structure, roles, processes, and tools).

•        Advise clients on the implementation of a formal innovation programs and capabilities; work with clients efficiently and effectively navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by new and disruptive technologies.

As the ideal candidate, you will have a strong combination of management, consultancy, project/program delivery and technical skills. You should have practical firsthand knowledge of the professional services business, including key financial, human resource, and business development considerations; extensive experience delivering professional services projects and programs to client organizations. You should be well developed perspective on the business opportunity presented by key technology areas, such as Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Big Data, Mobility, & Cyber Security. You should be a  well-respected and collaborative leader with a proven record of success in leading multi-disciplined, high-performance work teams, and demonstrated experience in the areas of IT strategy, IT planning, value management, project management, infrastructure and/or applications architecture, IT procurement, etc. As an ideal candidate you must have the ability to lead development of services methodologies, customer proposals, and marketing collateral, and have the ability to travel throughout Canada and United States.
