Estimator/Project Manager

Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Our client, Ocean Contractors Limited is seeking an Estimator/Project Manager to join their team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

As the ideal candidate, you will work closely with a team of estimators/project managers within a small team-based environment and will be responsible estimating and managing projects from start to finish. You will source projects, prepare project estimates/tender proposals and manage the project until completion. You will visit work sites, attend pre-bid meetings, analyze the contract documents and meet with clients to understand all aspects of project construction prior to bidding. You will obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors, develop timelines to see that projects are on time and budget.  You will review all project financial cost reports, to ensure invoices are consistent and confirm all project wrap-up documentation.

As the successful candidate, you have proven experience in construction management and project estimating. You have knowledge of civil construction regulations and quality standards along with a positive can-do attitude approach to problem solving. You are detail oriented, thorough, organized and proactive with a solid focus on building long term relationships.
