Waterfront Development is a Nova Scotia crown corporation with a portfolio of approximately 120 acres of waterfront real estate. Locations include Dartmouth, Bedford, Lunenburg, and Halifax— many of which are the most-visited places in Nova Scotia. Waterfront Development engages with public and private organizations, as well as the public at large, to plan projects that contribute to the development of world-class waterfronts, maintaining continuous public access to the water’s edge.
Waterfront Development is seeking a talented executive to continue to lead the vision and strategy of the organization as President & CEO.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO works collaboratively with potential new clients, existing tenants and partners, and government departments and agencies. With a shared vision of community building and economic growth in Nova Scotia, Waterfront Development leads the development and management of key waterfront lands and properties. The President & CEO plays a significant role in the marketing and promotion of the waterfront regionally, nationally and internationally.
The ideal candidate has strong senior leadership experience and proven ability delivering organizational success through marketing, innovation and quality. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in project management and development, including broad experience in financial management. A skilled communicator, both internally and externally, the CEO will ensure the image of Waterfront Development is enhanced and maintained with key stakeholders including the government of Nova Scotia, Board of Directors, the general public, and the Waterfront Development’s broad client base.
