Senior Salesforce Software Developer

Our client is a boutique consultancy that helps B2B SaaS companies build and optimize their Revenue Stack. From demand generation through to renewals, they help manage the growth of billions in sales pipeline for their clients. They do this by optimizing their instance of Salesforce and enhancing the performance of the Lead Generation, Marketing Automation, and Customer Support and Success tools it integrates with. The revenue impact for these SaaS customers saw major growth for our client that has prompted the need for a new Senior Salesforce Developer on the team.

The successful candidate will work closely with other team members, as well as vendors and clients to ensure we prepare our clients for growth and ensure the stability of their Salesforce ecosystems, including third-party integrations. The ideal candidate will have a combination of Salesforce platform experience, training experience, business analyst insight, technical capabilities and a solid understanding of core business processes.

Responsibilities

The Salesforce Software Developer will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, customization, and maintenance of client instances of Salesforce by:

  • Conducting requirements gathering, design, development, testing, documentation, and design of Salesforce instances and Salesforce integrated solutions
  • Overseeing the migration of data and new deployments
  • Providing best practice recommendations
  • Working with both staff and clients
  • Assist in training and in providing oversight to subcontractors

The Salesforce Developer will provide day-to-day management of Salesforce ecosystems for clients by fulfilling the following:

  • Understand client needs and assist in translating their business requirements and processes into customized system functionality
  • Work with team members and stakeholders to drive efficiency for clients through business process automation, AppExchange installations, and 3rd party integrations
  • Develop and document Salesforce processes and procedures
  • Design tools and processes to assist in conducting monthly health and security checks of client instances and full reviews surrounding Salesforce releases
  • Participate in client meetings to communicate status or give recommendations
  • Be keenly aware of timelines and budgeting to deliver in a timely manner

Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years experience configuring Salesforce applications
  • Salesforce Sales Consultant, Developer 1 and Administrator Certifications
  • Experience in requirement gathering, design, development, testing and documentation of Salesforce solutions for clients
  • Experience customizing Salesforce using both declarative and coding methodologies, including, VisualForce, Apex, Triggers, Processes, Workflows and the Salesforce API’s
  • Experience creating documentation and data models for implementations and migrations
  • Experience both leading a development team and working on a client facing basis
  • Experience training employees to become certified Salesforce administrators and developers
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • A well-developed sense of humour
  • Must work full-time at our office location in Halifax. This is not a remote position
