Technical Sales Representative 

Nova Scotia

Our client, an international market leader in the power transmission industry, is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join their team to cover the territory of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. 

As the Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business with new and existing customers; through following up on sales leads and customers inquiries to determine upcoming expansions or new projects. You will provide technical assistance and service to distributor sales persons, engineers and maintenance teams on electro-mechanical transmission applications and provide distributor training to the sales staff. You will be provided a company car and be responsible for regular maintenance and safe driving practices. You will be responsible for providing sales reports (weekly and quarterly), attending sales meetings and training, and preparing quotations for bid proposals.  

As the successful candidate, you have between 3 to 5 years of experience in outside sales within the power transmission industry at the consumer and distribution level, with post secondary education in business, marketing, electrical or mechanical. You are electro-mechanically inclined, thrive in a tight deadline and time pressure environment and have experience performing product teaching to groups of sales, engineering and project managers. You are someone with strong communication (French and English), listening and negotiating skills. You have a valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record. 

Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
