The goal of BlueLight’s Business Development team is to contribute to company objectives by developing sustainable, profitable customer relationships through acquisition of new accounts, growth of existing accounts, innovation with customers, and standardization in solutions. As VP, Business Development, you'll lead all aspects of the customer cycle, from marketing and revenue generation strategies, to account management and customer success. Their customers include small to large dental companies, universities, and they’re expanding to dental practices of all sizes. The VP will be asked to nurture their already outstanding customer relationships, strategize to get new customers and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team of high achievers. You will report to the CEO and play a key role in the senior management team, significantly contributing to the overall corporate strategy and gaining exposure to the Board. You can easily converse with a technical team at length and challenge their assumptions, while helping them arrive at a new status quo. You understand the customer journey and are consistently identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. A customer advocate, you work in collaboration with other teams to implement user feedback.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in enterprise-level software sales or technical healthcare sales, along with a minimum of 3+ years managing and growing high-performing sales and account management teams that sell to enterprise. Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device or dental industry would be an asset. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building skills, negotiation skills and the ability to establish trust and credibility. A highly motivated self-starter, you thrive in small, fast-paced, uber-collaborative environments. With a proven track-record of growing customer accounts, you have experience growing teams and developing operational metrics to track progress.
