Our client is a successful group of family owned businesses in the automotive, distribution, warehousing & logistics industries. Continuous growth and a commitment to employee development has promoted them to hire their first Human Resources leader.

As part of the executive leadership team, we are seeking a Director of HR who will play a key role in shaping the client’s corporate culture and employer brand while identifying and executing on key areas for HR development. Ideally we are looking for a tenacious leader and HR innovator who wants to inspire change in an entrepreneurial environment.

The successful candidate will act as a strategic consultant and tactical/implementation leader for all human resource initiatives and strategies. You will lead and help shape performance management and development plans. As the champion of training and development, you oversee and develop processes for onboarding, orientation, and employee training. You will lead the recruiting process aligning talent acquisition and retention needs with current and future strategy. You will standardize and be an advocate for compliant OH&S practices. The Director will evaluate and develop HR protocols while ensuring their implementation and compliance.  

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience as an HR leader. You have demonstrated the ability to implement HR best practices with quantifiable results. As a leader, you are innovative, hands on, and self sufficient. A relevant undergraduate degree and CPHR designation preferred.
