About the role:
We are seeking a Director of Sales to be based in our state of the art executive offices in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In alignment with corporate strategy, this role will grow sustainable and profitable sales by leading and motivating more than 40 professionals throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. These professionals are a combination of General Sales Managers and Account Managers. Focus will be on maximizing new business development and strategy, existing client growth opportunities, and client retention.
The Director of Sales will also work closely with the Director of Programming to oversee creative and production, marketing, promotions, and client services. The role requires regular travel throughout the Maritime provinces.
As the ideal candidate, you have an undergraduate degree in business, combined with an extensive background in business development strategy. You have strong experience leading a B2B sales force and enjoy providing vision and direction to develop the personal growth of your team. You are highly motivated, energetic and results-oriented. You have strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills which is evident through the meaningful relationships you've built over your years in sales. As a strategist, you are forward thinking and can negotiate skillfully in a variety of situations. As an innovative leader, you are goal-oriented with superb analytical thinking and problem solving skills which keeps you striving for continuous improvement.
The radio industry is evolving. The ideal candidate would be someone who can lead a team of passionate Sales Managers and Sales Reps through this exciting evolution.
