Electrical Estimator/Project Manager

On their behalf, we are seeking an Electrical Estimator/Project Manager to prepare timely, accurate full cost estimates and plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of projects.

The successful candidate will evaluate and recommend allowances for indirect costs, design unknowns, escalations and contingencies. Reviewing all final estimates, you will ensure they are accurate and complete prior to submission. You will attend meetings to present estimates and conduct design reviews with clients. The Estimator/Project Manager will direct projects including overseeing all onsite and offsite projects to monitor compliance and coordinate electrical workers and subcontractors. With daily review of the projects progress, you will ensure contractual conditions are being met to quality standard while preparing internal and external job status reports. You will negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and track order changes.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree or diploma in construction/engineering or electrical field accompanied with a petroleum background. You possess expert knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, commercial and industrial electrical and are able to read and interpret electrical specifications, drawings and as-builts. You are familiar with construction management and estimating software.
