Saeplast Americas is a global leader and manufacturer of containers for the fish, seafood, and protein markets. With production commencing in 1979, they have a long and successful legacy in Saint John, New Brunswick as part of the RPC Group, a global plastics converter with nearly 200 factories in over 20 countries.

On their behalf, we are seeking a Finance Director to manage the financial operations of the business.

The Finance Director will ensure all financial goals are met, the treasury position is preserved/strengthened and manage the entire budget process. The successful candidate will be responsible for monthly financial statement preparation and head office reporting.  Payroll and IT responsibility is also with the Finance Director. The position maintains responsibility for cost control and improvement of efficiencies. Overseeing the newly created supply chain staff, the Finance Director will ensure accuracy of all inventories and FIFO practices are maintained and enhanced.

The ideal candidate has a CPA designation accompanied with 5 years of progressive experience in a key financial leadership role within a manufacturing environment. Experience in working within a unionized setting would be an asset. You have a strong understanding of budgeting and expense management.  Experience specifically relating to the implementation of an ERP would also be an asset. As a self-starter, you set high personal standards and strive for excellence. In a fast paced, decentralized environment you are able to multitask without sacrificing quality of work.
