HR Generalist

Our international banking client is seeking a HR Generalist to balance responsibility between recruitment, HRIS, benefits, employee relations, payroll and onboarding.

Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the HR Generalist will lead the recruitment process including managing a pipeline of candidates and job applications, preparing job ads, conducting interviews, reference checks and preparing offer letters. You will be the primary administrator for the HRIS system, payroll and benefits. As the support for employees, you will provide advice and guidance to managers and assist employees. Leading the employee onboarding and exit processes, you will ensure that all documentation is processed and welcome new staff on their first day, arranging for staff ID’s. and advising departments of employee arrivals. You will coordinate monthly updates of the Organization Charts and annual reviews of ER policies and the Employee Handbook. The HR Generalist will consult with internal clients on various employment activity requests such as promotions, transfers, job title changes, job re-evaluations and salary adjustments. Other administrative duties include managing client portfolios, process billing, preparation of immigration applications and participating in committees.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources accompanied with 2-3 years experience in the field, preferably in the Banking or Financial Services industry. You possess knowledge of local employment legislation and have the ability to learn the bank’s policies, procedures and practices. As an avid problem solver, you use your sound judgement to make decisions when the process is not clearly mapped out and develop recommendations for the appropriate course of action. You are a motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic. Your organizational and time management skills allow you to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment.
