Human Resources Generalist

Our client, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for recruitment, benefits administration, corporate and local policy administration, employee data and training records, Health and Safety programs and Union Management relations.

The successful candidate will maintain employee records, compile statistical reports concerning hires, transfer, performance appraisals and absenteeism. You will complete payroll for hourly employees and administer their benefits and employee performance records. As HR Generalist and a member/secretary of the Health and Safety Committee, you will manage the Health & Safety program to ensure compliance to OSHA regulations. You will implement company policies and employee training programs and investigate and reports industrial accidents. You will provide full cycle recruitment services and new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude towards organizational objectives. Serving as a link between management and employees, you will inform, interpret and administer the Union Contract and assist in resolving work related problems. You will participate during bargaining and personnel related hearings and advise management on organizational policy matters.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or college diploma accompanied with 5 years administration experience in a manufacturing or similar environment. As an avid problem solver, you have strong logic and reasoning skills when dealing with company and employee issues. Your organizational skills allow you to balance priorities and work efficiently. You have strong interpersonal skills and are a effective communicator.
