Industrial Sales Representative

New Brunswick/Nova Scotia

Shaw Resources is a leading supplier of industrial and specialized aggregates. Their technical and resource expertise spans product lines that include; industrial sands and gravel including beach sand and natural stone, construction aggregate, industrial blasting abrasives, water and wastewater filtration media, fly ash, golf course material, landscaping production, pre-mix concretes and mortars, oil absorbents, and industrial and residential wood pellet fuel.

On their behalf, we are seeking a Industrial Sales Representative to maintain and expand customer base by building and maintaining strong customer relationships and identifying new customer opportunities.

The successful candidate will develop and execute sales and marketing strategies while monitoring and evaluating competitions product lines. You will suggest new products, offer insights to operations and initiate and coordinate actions plans to penetrate new markets and drive improved levels of service. As the Industrial Sales Representative, you will recruit new customers while ensuring existing customers receive excellent service through consistent communication. Providing timely, accurate and competitive pricing, you will strive to maintain maximum profit margins and be responsible for the terms and pricing for customers. You will prepare reports and forecasts that provide sales figures to management and leaders. You will maintain your deep knowledge of filtration, industrial abrasives and manufacturing segments, companies and industry practices,  and knowledge in the area of last-mile logistics. Participating in trade shows, conferences and customer events, you will create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses.

As the ideal candidate, you have a university degree in sciences or engineering with 3-5 years sales experience in water treatment, industrial minerals or abrasives industries. A NACE or SSPC certification would be considered a strong asset. You are bilingual in English and French. As a highly motivated individual, you are tenacious with a strong aptitude for business. You are results focused and enjoy collaborating in a team environment. As a skilled communicator, you have a customer focused attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills. With your strategic ability, you are able to effectively conduct market planning and identifying new opportunities.
