As one of Eastern Canada’s leading natural resource manufacturers and land developers The Shaw Group employs approximately 500 people, producing nearly 1000 individual products. Venor is pleased to partner with The Shaw Group on this fantastic opportunity for the Director Of Human Resources position.

The successful candidate will be responsible to manage all daily transactional HR issues that arise. Leading talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, payroll, compensation and benefits you will take a hands approach to all HR related items. The Director is instrumental in helping drive the organization achieve business goals having full responsibility for the strategy, design and implementation of human resources initiatives. Operating consultatively to the executive management team, shareholders and the board of directors you will evaluate and develop HR protocols, ensuring their implementation and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience in a senior human resources position. Along with an undergraduate degree you will have an excellent level of communication and business acumen. As a leader in human resource strategy, you have the ability to advise senior leadership and provide a hands on approach to the business.
