Senior Financial Accountant

Guildford’s was founded in 1906, making it the oldest insulation contractor in North America today. They have built a tradition of quality for over 100 years in Atlantic Canada and are the Atlantic Region’s largest insulation contracting company.

On their behalf we are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to bring optimal efficiency and accuracy in the reporting of the company finances. You will manage the productivity and accuracy of the day to day accounting activities such as: Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Payroll, Fixed Asset Records, Cash Flow, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition. You will oversee some of the Project Accounting and perform WIP calculations, lead ongoing software integration and be the internal point of contact for all ERP related trouble shooting. Coordinating the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts the Senior Financial Accountant will support the year -end process aiding the departments annual operational strategies to ensure goals are met.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working to continually develop and improve accounting policies and processes working to strengthen internal controls. Demonstrating adaptability to meet the ever-changing demands of the company you will work with discretion and sound judgement in the handling of confidential information. You will execute projects whilst working successfully with colleagues from varying organizational levels, demonstrating strong analytical skills and problem solving. 

As the successful candidate you should have your Professional Accounting designation (CPA) or be enrolled in the CPA program. Experience in Management Accounting with full understanding of Accounting Principles and Accounting Technical knowledge is required.
