EDI and API Integration Analyst

Venor is proud to partner with Seaboard Armour Transportation and Logistics in their search for an EDI and API Integration Analyst to join their team.

Seaboard Armour Transportation and Logistics is a premier North American transportation and logistics leader. What began in 1964 as a regional, family-owned petroleum delivery operation in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, has grown into a coast-to-coast group of companies with over 60 years of success. Recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies and an industry Employer of Choice, Seaboard Armour delivers safe, reliable, and innovative bulk transport, freight forwarding, and supply chain solutions across Canada and the United States.

As part of their growing Data and Integration team,  the EDI and API Integration Analyst is responsible for the operation, support, documentation, monitoring, onboarding, and continuous improvement of customer and partner data integrations across EDI, API, and file-based exchange methods. This role ensures integration processes are reliable, well-documented, supportable, and aligned to business needs across transportation and logistics operations.

As valued members of the expanding Data and Integration team, EDI and API Integration Analysts, along with current team of data integration professionals, collectively manage, support, document, monitor, onboard, and continuously enhance customer and partner data integrations across EDI, API, and file-based exchange methods. Together, the data integration team ensures that integration processes remain reliable, well-documented, supportable, and aligned with business needs throughout transportation and logistics operations.

Our EDI and API Integration Analysts support critical EDI, API, and file-based integrations that power order tenders, shipment visibility, dispatch, billing, customer service, and revenue flow. With a strong focus on reliability, documentation, monitoring, and customer onboarding, this role helps reduce operational risk, improve support coverage, and build a more scalable integration foundation for the business. This is a hands-on opportunity to strengthen and modernize how customer and partner data moves across the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Monitor, support, troubleshoot, document, and continuously improve daily customer and partner integration data flows across EDI, API, SFTP, file exchange, XML, JSON, CSV, and related integration patterns.
  • Support EDI transaction sets such as 204, 210, 211, 214, 990, 997, and other transportation/logistics-related formats.
  • Support integration flows between customers, Cleo, TruckMate, TMW, billing, dispatch, customer service, and other enterprise systems.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with internal teams, customers, vendors, and managed service providers, ensuring customer-impacting issues are escalated and communicated appropriately.
  • Support customer integration onboarding, including specification review, mapping, testing, validation, UAT, cutover, and post-go-live support.
  • Create and maintain customer integration inventories, runbooks, support procedures, data flow documentation, and customer-specific integration notes.
  • Develop integration health checks, track recurring issues, identify root causes, and recommend process, system, data quality, or vendor improvements.
  • Support Cleo platform operations, including maps, routes, trading partner configurations, alerts, logs, testing, troubleshooting, and future modernization planning.
  • Participate in cross-training with other IT team members and maintain shared knowledge documentation to reduce single-person dependency.
  • Work with customer service, billing, operations, dispatch, IT, vendors, and customers to confirm business readiness and resolve integration issues in clear business terms.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience supporting EDI, API, file exchange, or enterprise system integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with EDI mapping, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Experience supporting transportation/logistics EDI transaction sets, preferably including 204, 210, 211, 214, 990, and 997.
  • Experience with integration platforms such as Cleo, Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, IBM Sterling, Seeburger, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of SFTP, AS2, XML, JSON, CSV, flat files, REST APIs, and common integration patterns.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Strong documentation skills, including process flows, support runbooks, technical notes, and customer-specific procedures.
  • Experience working with business users, vendors, customers, and technical teams.
  • Understanding of production support, incident management, change control, and customer-impacting issue escalation.
  • Experience supporting billing, dispatch, shipment visibility, order tendering, customer service, or revenue-impacting data flows.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive operational environment.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on technical experience working with EDI standards (ANSI X12 preferred) specifically within a transportation, trucking, or logistics environment.
  • Deep familiarity with core logistics EDI transactions (e.g., Load Tenders, Shipment Status, Freight Details, and Functional Acknowledgments).
  • Proven experience developing and managing REST and SOAP API integrations between internal databases and external stakeholder systems.
  • Strong business communication skills, with a distinct ability to translate complex technical concepts into tangible operational impact for non-technical teams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with a rigorous eye for data accuracy and system mapping validation.
  • Excellent relationship management skills for collaborating effectively with external client IT teams, vendors, and internal terminal operations.
