Field Service Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Venor is proud to partner with Archibald Drilling & Blasting in their search for a Field Service Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their team in New Brunswick

This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, field-based environment, maintaining and repairing specialized drilling equipment and heavy-duty vehicles. Based out of New Brunswick, the Field Service Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a key role in keeping Archibald’s operations running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

What you’ll be doing

• Maintain a safe work environment by following all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices
• Inspect drilling equipment and air compressors to ensure proper operation and identify faults or malfunctions
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using computerized diagnostic tools
• Repair or replace defective components, parts, or systems on drilling equipment and related vehicles
• Test and adjust repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications
• Service and maintain equipment from manufacturers such as Atlas Copco, Gardner Denver, Casagrande, Ingersoll Rand, and Minlaton Engineering, as well as on-road vehicles including Western Star, Kenworth, Peterbilt, and Freightliner
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support field operations

What we are looking for

• Interprovincial Red Seal Heavy Equipment Mechanic certification, or currently completing required blocks
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering specifications
• Commitment to complying with all safety policies and procedures
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to safely operate equipment in a field service environment
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers to ensure work is completed efficiently and correctly
