Based in Dieppe, NB, they specialize in multi-residential and commercial projects, serving clients across Atlantic Canada. Position Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Site Superintendent to join their team. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, based in Moncton, New Brunswick, the Site Superintendent will oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion, ensuring high-quality results that meet or exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of the project schedule along with the Project Manager.
• Supervise all construction workers and subcontractors to ensure that the work is completed on time and on budget.
• Ensure all work completed by workers and sub-contractors are in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Write daily reports on the status of the job, site condition and personnel on jobs.
• Attend sub-contractor coordination meetings and raise and discuss relevant issues.
• Promptly inform the Project Coordinator and Project Manager of any anticipated delays or changes in the scope of work.
• Ensure that the as-built drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction period.
• Perform site inspection on jobs, including sub-contracted work.
• Attend weekly office meetings with the Project Coordinator and the Project Manager.
• Maintain a safe job site and ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced.
• Promote site safety and security to all workers and subcontractors.
• All other duties are generally consistent with the position.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a General Contractor environment. 
• 10+ years of experience in construction.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings, and plans
• An understanding of all construction trades and construction techniques
• Commitment to working in a team environment, with established team-building abilities
• Strong communication, leadership, integration, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work safely in a construction environment
• Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines
