Venor is proud to partner with E.H. Price Solutions in their search for a Technical Sales Representative, Air Distribution team to join their team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
E.H. Price Solutions is a well-established HVAC solutions provider known for its strong technical expertise, long-standing industry relationships, and customer-focused approach across Atlantic Canada. Working closely with consulting engineers, contractors, and industry partners, the organization has built a strong reputation within the mechanical and air distribution market.
Focused specifically within the Air Distribution division, this role is centred around managing and growing established contractors’ relationships across the Atlantic market. The Technical Sales Representative will work closely with mechanical contractors and subcontractors to position and specify E.H. Price Solutions air distribution products on commercial and institutional projects throughout the bid-specification process.
In this role, you will act as a trusted technical sales advisor to engineers, contractors, and industry stakeholders while supporting specification-driven sales growth across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with mechanical contractors, subcontractors, and other industry stakeholders to grow E.H. Price Solutions’ market share and strengthen its presence across Nova Scotia.
• Work directly with contractors throughout the bid-specification process to position air distribution solutions effectively.
• Understand client project requirements and provide technical product recommendations that align with design intent and operational performance objectives.
• Support and strengthen long-standing existing client relationships while identifying opportunities for continued growth within established accounts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support quotations, project coordination, product selection, and technical solutions.
• Remain current with HVAC industry trends, market activity, codes, regulations, and competitor positioning.
• Participate in industry events, client meetings, presentations, and Lunch & Learn sessions to strengthen relationships and drive product awareness.
• Occasionally, attend ASHRAE meetings and maintain involvement within the broader HVAC and mechanical engineering community.
• Support cross-training initiatives across product lines to identify opportunities for broader E.H. Price Solutions within client projects.
• Travel throughout the region as required to support client engagement and project activity.
• Attend factory trainings and sales meetings when required
The ideal candidate brings deep industry relationships, strong technical sales capabilities, and direct experience within the HVAC, mechanical systems, or air distribution markets. This individual thrives in a relationship-driven environment and understands how to navigate the specification of sales processes while building long-term trust with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Qualifications and experience include:
• 5 to 10+ years of direct industry experience within HVAC, air distribution, mechanical systems, or related technical sales environments.
• Strong existing relationships with mechanical contractors and subcontractors throughout Atlantic Canada.
• Added asset: Strong relationships with consulting firms in the region
• Experience working within specification-driven sales environments and bid-specification processes.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and air distribution products.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and architectural drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• A consultative and customer-focused approach combined with strong business development instincts.
• Self-motivation, accountability, and the ability to manage a territory independently.
• Previous experience with competitors or closely aligned organizations within the HVAC distribution market is considered a strong asset.
• An engineering background, a mechanical engineering degree/diploma, or related technical education is considered an asset.
