Our client, LifeRaft, a Nova Scotia–based security intelligence company, is sustaining its impressive growth this year and looking to add to its team once again. LifeRaft enables enterprises to be alerted of security threats and business risks using online threat intelligence. Following an additional follow-on investment from the Canadian Business Growth Fund (CBGF), LifeRaft continues to add talent across its organization. On their behalf, Venor is recruiting an Account Executive to join their team.

Headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia, LifeRaft’s critical risk detection software, “Navigator”, delivers proactive and real-time alerts that allow a company to protect its employees, customers, and assets. LifeRaft has over 100 blue-chip customers including many of the Fortune 100 in over 25 countries across industries such as Broadcasting & Telco, Finance & Insurance, Healthcare, Energy, Hospitality, and more.

As Account Executive, you will play a critical role in increasing revenue by adding to our customer base, convert trial accounts to subscriptions, identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, and upsell & renew existing accounts. Your sales communications will mainly be over phone, email, and live chat, but qualified Account Managers may also be expected to work on location with clients.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and developing a sales funnel by researching, identifying, approaching, and developing new prospective client accounts in an agreed-upon category of the corporate vertical
  • Taking on existing customer portfolios to expand our account penetration and grow their value
  • Coordinating and co-delivering demo and sales presentations to key clients and prospects
  • Maintaining internal CRM (Salesforce)
  • Contributing to the growth and expansion of the customer database
  • Expanding reseller and partner network, working with international sales and partner team members
  • Assisting current customers with account questions or capitalize on upselling opportunities
  • Working closely with the Customer Success Team to ensure customer satisfaction

What we are looking for:

  • 3-5 years+ in sales with proven skills in closing business
  • Demonstrated ability of effective account and customer management (understanding their needs, addressing their challenges, connecting the dots)
  • Knowledge and understanding of best practice sales tactics and different stages of the sales cycle
  • Ability to sell virtually (over the phone and via WebEx)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong focus on growing revenue
  • The ability to work independently and to create your own lead generation/sales funnel
