Venor is proud to partner with our client in their search for an Accountant to join their team in Southeast New Brunswick.

Reporting to a Controller, the role offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the financial health and operational success of a dynamic organization. As part of a collaborative and performance-driven environment, the Accountant will support critical reporting, analysis, and financial processes that help drive informed decision-making across the business.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing daily and monthly accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, inventory, and production accounting, as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual closing files.
- Reviewing sales orders, preparing billings, managing customer requests, and overseeing collections processes.
- Providing financial reporting, analysis, and support to the Controller to guide operational decision-making.
- Managing government reporting requirements, including HST tax filings.
- Serving as a lead contributor during the annual financial audit.
- Preparing daily bank reconciliations and completing daily banking transactions.
- Preparing, reviewing, and updating annual budgets and estimates, including gross margin, operating expense, and capital expenditure files.
What we are looking for
- A degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent professional experience, with 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, analysis, payroll compliance, and tax accounting.
- Proficiency with Excel and Sage 300, along with strong data analysis capabilities.
- Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams, demonstrating leadership when needed.
