POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of all golf operations, member services, and food and beverage operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role plays a critical part in delivering an exceptional experience for members, guests, and tournament clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead all golf operations including pro shop, tee sheet management, tournaments, and member programming.
  • Ensure exceptional service standards for members and daily-fee guests.
  • Oversee merchandising strategy, inventory control, and retail performance.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and manage golf operations staff.
  • Develop and execute member engagement initiatives and special events.
  • Oversee clubhouse dining, bar, catering, and tournament food service operations.
  • Manage food and beverage budgets, cost controls, and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with culinary leadership to enhance menu development and event offerings.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and monitor financial performance.
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives in collaboration with the General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in golf operations, club management, or hospitality.
  • Experience overseeing both golf operations and food & beverage preferred.
  • Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building ability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Member-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
  • Knowledge of golf operations systems and POS platforms.
  • PGA of Canada membership considered an asset.
