Atlantic Regional Manager

Brookfield, Nova Scotia
Permanent

Venor is proud to partner with Marwood Ltd. in their search for an Atlantic Regional Manager in Central, Nova Scotia.

Marwood Ltd. is a forward-thinking manufacturer of premium forest products, serving residential, commercial, and industrial construction markets across North America and Europe. With multiple operations throughout Atlantic Canada, Marwood has earned a strong reputation for exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and enduring customer partnerships. Their diverse product portfolio ranges from wood pellets to high-end, custom siding solutions, supporting a broad spectrum of residential and commercial applications. Through a continued focus on innovation and operational excellence, Marwood remains a trusted partner to builders, developers, and industry professionals alike.

This is a well-established and highly regarded position within the organization, opening as a result of the planned retirement of a respected leader who has held the role for 17 years. With a strong foundation of long-standing client relationships and an established market presence, this opportunity offers the ability to step into a mature, high-performing territory while continuing to build momentum and expand across the region.

The Atlantic Regional Manager is responsible for driving sales of Cape Cod Wood Siding and related product lines through a balanced focus on relationship management and business development. This includes strengthening existing partnerships while proactively identifying and securing new opportunities. Supported by a collaborative internal team, the role offers a high degree of autonomy and is ideally suited to someone who excels at building long-term, value-driven relationships across a diverse customer base.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will manage a regional territory and drive growth through a balanced approach to relationship management, market development, and customer engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with building supply dealers, ensuring consistent engagement and effective product positioning.
  • Develop and expand relationships with residential and commercial builders, supporting product specification and influencing material selection early in the project lifecycle.
  • Engage directly with homeowners and consumers through industry events, home shows, and select customer-facing opportunities to support brand awareness and demand generation.
  • Manage and grow an established client base while actively identifying and developing new business opportunities across the region.
  • Travel throughout Atlantic Canada to meet clients, visit job sites, and strengthen market presence, with a focus on efficient and strategic territory planning.
  • Deliver product knowledge sessions and act as a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support customer needs, project requirements, and overall sales strategy.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to inform business development efforts.
  • Interpret drawings, plans, and project requirements to effectively position products in real-world applications.

What We Are Looking For

As the ideal candidate, you bring hands-on experience in both residential and commercial construction environments and are confident engaging a broad range of stakeholders, including building supply dealers, contractors, builders, architects, and homeowners. You have a proven ability to build, nurture, and grow long-term client relationships, while actively identifying and converting new business opportunities across a defined region. Comfortable in both technical and consultative conversations, you can interpret drawings, plans, and product applications, positioning solutions effectively to diverse audiences.

You are motivated by long-term career growth and success built on relationship continuity and a strong market presence. Highly organized and self-directed, you excel in a role that offers autonomy and ownership of a regional territory. You transition seamlessly between customer groups—whether supporting a dealer, meeting a builder on-site, or engaging directly with homeowners at industry events—consistently delivering a professional, high-quality experience. You are also comfortable with regular travel throughout Atlantic Canada, managing your schedule efficiently to maximize impact. You hold a valid driver’s license and passport.

At Venor and Marwood Ltd., we embrace a culture of belonging in the workplace. No matter who you are, where you’re from, how you think, what you believe in, or who you love, we welcome your application. We all come from different backgrounds and different walks of life, bringing in unique perspectives and experiences. We encourage applications from 2SLGBTQ+, Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC), women, newcomers to Canada, and people with disabilities.
