On behalf of RPSIG, we are recruiting a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). They will play a pivotal role in supporting operational excellence and significant growth. Envisioned as a true business partner for the operations and wider business teams, the CFO and their team provide the financial oversight, business intelligence, and reporting that supports optimum financial performance. This role combines team leadership, accounting oversight, strategic planning, ERP implementation, and acquisition integration.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Finance Team Leadership
- Ensure the finance team’s processes and capabilities support operational excellence.
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations, identify improvement areas, and lead change management initiatives.
- Develop a high-performing finance team focused on continuous improvement and individual growth.
Accounting Leadership & Oversight
- Evaluate and improve financial processes, controls, and systems.
- Oversee revenue recognition processes and review job margin reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end closings while addressing P&L performance issues.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to enhance business performance and drive continuous improvement.
Strategic Planning & Operational Support
- Partner with Operational General Managers to develop and execute growth strategies.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes and maintain complex financial models.
- Analyze financial performance, benchmark best practices, and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage working capital and support sales in developing revenue plans.
ERP Implementation
- Act as the Finance lead in the implementation of MS Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Support the expansion of the Power BI platform and develop ERP superuser skills to assist users.
Acquisitions & Integrations
- Participate in acquisition evaluations as needed.
- Oversee the integration of new operations into company business systems, including ERP platforms.
As the ideal candidate, you have a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent, combined with a CPA designation. You have 10 + years of progressive accounting leadership experience within manufacturing or industrial environments (Canadian and US experience preferred). Strong emotional intelligence, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential to success in this role. A proven leader of people, you inspire and empower your team, creating an environment of trust and collaboration. Outstanding accounting and financial analysis capabilities are required. Experience with MS Dynamics 365 and Power BI platforms is preferred. The successful candidate must be willing to travel within Canada and the USA as required.
