Job Purpose

The Creative Director is both a strategic and hands-on role that leads the development and execution of creative content rooted in insights for performance-driven marketing. The role is critical in executing creative marketing concepts that drive results for our digital advertising campaigns. We are looking for someone who has experience in both Creative Agency management as well as talent development. This position will report directly to the CEO and will be part of a team that deeply cares for one another, works harmoniously together and all share in the values of the company and desire to be the best in the world – all while ensuring we are having fun!

Duties & Responsibilities

We believe people are the greatest part of our business, so we are looking for someone with a passion for leading creative teams that move the needle and produce digital advertising ROI in a massive way. If you are obsessed with social storytelling, big-idea creative thinking, and how to create the greatest reach and engagement ratios for what you and your team develop, this is the position for you. Here is what matters in the task at hand:

  • Lead the development and execution of creative content that’s strategically rooted in insights for performance-driven marketing.
  • Collaborate with inter-agency departments and teams to develop a variety of content needs that meets creative and strategic criteria (client briefs, feedback, client KPIs, etc.) and delivers on measurable business results for your client.
  • Operate as quality control and brand steward for the creative team.
  • Enjoys the challenge of working with a broad range of clients on a daily basis, with experience adjusting style and voice based on client goals and message.
  • Provide department KPIs to senior leadership, to ensure creative excellence and meeting
  • of brand objectives.
  • Lead the development and growth of each team member, providing evaluation, mentorship, counsel, and determining assignments and incentives as needed. Monitor performance and progress, and manage up to the leadership team when needed.
  • Must understand, articulate, and strategically apply the latest platform, industry, creative trends, and digital best practices, always seeking the next opportunity for your brands.
  • Attend client meetings and be the voice that communicates creative vision and processes bringing stellar presentation skills to the table.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of advertising experience, developing and creating for digital/social strategies and campaigns. Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Previous Agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience of fast-growing company process and tech start-up (ideally advertising).
  • Experience working with performance marketing clients, or experience working at direct to consumer and/or e-commerce focused brands.
  • Exceptional management experience leading large teams, including ability to qualify, prioritize and delegate workloads for your team.
  • Mastery of industry and digital best practices, coupled with a strong knowledge of platform/industry/creative trends, in order to articulate and strategically apply to creative executions.
  • Have a strong creative vision and understanding of client/agency business needs and objectives, with a strong understanding of a brand in different spaces.
  • A flexible and collaborative team member with enormous emotional intelligence

Working Conditions

Our regular office hours are Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm. On occasion, working outside of regular hours or on the weekend may be required to meet specific deadliness

Direct Reports

The Creative Director reports directly to the CEO.
