The Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia (WCB Nova Scotia) is the province’s provider of workplace injury insurance.
WCB Nova Scotia works with employers, workers, and partners across the province to protect Nova Scotians from the impact of workplace injury. They inform and inspire workplaces, and the Nova Scotians within them, in the prevention of workplace injury – but when it occurs, they provide security from its impact to workers and their families, supporting healthy and safe return to work. They also provide caring, compassionate support over the long term, in the wake of workplace tragedy.
WCB Nova Scotia is at the outset of a new Strategic Plan, empowered by newfound financial sustainability. There is a new passion, energy, and vision for our future – a future enabled, most of all, by the WCB’s 450 employees and their leaders. The WCB of tomorrow will be one that is more welcoming, inclusive, and diverse, and defined by more innovative thinking. They are focused on working differently in the future to drive greater customer experience, innovation, opportunity, and outcomes for Nova Scotians. Through its people, the WCB will drive continued progress in prevention and return to work, all enabled by exceptional service.
