As the Director of People and Culture, you’ll report directly to the General Manager and spearhead all HR functions, ensuring alignment with our values and business goals. Your responsibilities will include:
People and Culture Leadership
- Developing and executing a People and Culture strategy aligned with the organizational objective to lead the Maritime Provinces’ municipal infrastructure market with remarkable talent and expertise.
- Embedding our culture and values across the employee lifecycle.
- Leading efforts to enhance communication, collaboration, and engagement.
- Acting as a strategic advisor to leadership teams on organizational design and team dynamics.
Talent Management
- Attracting and retaining top talent with innovative recruitment strategies.
- Driving talent development through onboarding, mentorship, and career growth programs.
- Implementing a workforce diversification strategy to prioritize emerging talent and individuals from diverse global backgrounds.
Safety Oversight
- Championing a robust safety program to maintain a secure work environment.
- Collaborating with teams to uphold and advance safety standards and compliance.
- Fostering a safety-first culture through training and proactive initiatives.
Employee Experience
- Designing employee engagement initiatives to enhance satisfaction and productivity.
- Overseeing performance management systems to ensure employee success.
- Administering competitive compensation and benefits packages.
As the ideal candidate you will lead and shape our People and Culture strategy. You will drive transformative initiatives, cultivate a thriving workplace culture, and champion employee well-being, we want to hear from you. You are a strategic thinker and people-focused leader with a passion for fostering workplace excellence and safety. You will have 8–10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory capacity. Proven expertise in HR best practices, employee relations, and leadership development. A strong commitment to workplace safety and well-being. Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
