Venor is proud to partner with Workplace Essentials to recruit a Field Technician based in Halifax Regional Municipality.
Workplace Essentials is a service-driven organization, dedicated to providing industry-leading printing equipment as well as premier managed print services solutions and custom furniture/design services to our customers dating back to 1962.
Reporting to the Service Manager; the Field Technician is responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and repair services for copier machines and related office equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of copier technology, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to ensure customer satisfaction.
What you’ll be doing:
- Install, maintain, and repair office business electronic equipment, such as b/w and color photocopiers, desktop, and high-speed printers, print interfaces, and computers
- Implementing TDC products, applications, and software to the customer’s network
- Adjust, align, replace, or repair copier and printing equipment, assemblies, and components following equipment manuals and schematics with the highest standards of technical service.
- Troubleshooting the equipment in a customer’s computer network
- Provide after-sales support and \ or training to our customers
- Promoting good customer relations
As an ideal candidate you will have technical competence with specialization in electronics or hardware/software. Excellent electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Experience in networking. Experience with Kyocera and Sharp brands are an advantage, but not necessary. A+ certification is an asset for the position.
As a successful candidate you will demonstrate the ability to listen and understand other perspectives and modify one’s approach to enhance communication and achieve results. You will have the ability to understand, anticipate and make inferences and use complex reasoning in a variety of situations.
