Due to a recent internal promotion, Commissionaires NB PEI have partnered with Venor to seek a Head of Finance and Analytics.

Reporting to the CEO, The CNBPEI Head of Finance & Analytics is responsible for the strategic and operational financial management of the division. The Head of Finance & Analytics is also assigned to lead all reporting and analytics for the division.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide leadership and direction for the finance team, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees, including both salaried and hourly personnel, adhering to company policies and relevant labor laws.
  • Monitor payroll tax compliance (federal, provincial), including ensuring deductions, benefits contributions, and other withholdings are properly calculated and reported etc.
  • Oversee teams responsible for the creation, tracking, and management of invoices for clients..
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards regarding revenue recognition from security contracts, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Lead the creation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for the company, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s goals and operational capacity.
  • Maintain financial models to support strategic decisions, pricing strategies, and investment opportunities.
  • Analyze costs (labor, operational, capital expenditures) and propose strategies for cost control and efficiency improvements.
  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure they reflect the company’s financial position accurately and comply with accounting standards.
  • Develop and monitor financial and operational KPIs to gauge business performance and inform leadership.Business Intelligence Tools: Implement or manage the use of financial analytics tools and dashboards for real-time financial insights and Reporting.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the finance team, ensuring they are well-trained and equipped to handle responsibilities in payroll, invoicing, and FP&A.
  • Work with external vendors to implement finance-related technology enhancements that improve processes, data accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency (e.g., payroll systems, invoicing tools).
  • Positively and productively represent CNBPEI division at the national level of Commissionaires through participation in the FIN Working Group.

Requirements

  • Achieve Level 2 (Secret) PSPC clearance (to be facilitated by Commissionaires)

What we are looking for

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is considered an asset.
  • CPA designation is required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in sales, client management, or marketing, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience, including leadership of cross-functional teams.
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Proven strategic planning skills with a big-picture perspective and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Familiarity with current technology platforms and analytics tools used in the finance and transformation space.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm, sincerity, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
