Venor is proud to partner with Envirem Organics Inc. in their search for a Health, Safety and Compliance Manager to manage and oversee health, safety and truck compliance.
Our client, Envirem Organics, is a diversified environmental company that specializes in organic bio-products for both your lawn, garden, turf, landscape, organic agriculture and biofuels markets. Their goal is to produce high-quality organic-based and certified products with mother nature’s purest and richest organic residues.
Responsibilities
- Promote high safety standards and provide support on Health & Safety responsibilities with all employees
- Conduct & Lead Risk Assessments; train others in the Risk Assessment process
- Develop Safe Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for manufacturing & maintenance processes
- Review, assess and work with team member to resolve Hazards; track progress
- Ensure compliance with corporate Health & Safety policies and provincial regulatory requirements
- Conduct incident and accident investigations; complete root-cause analyses to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Safety Management System Auditing to ensure program standards are maintained.
- Provide guidance to management on safety standards & best practices.
- Audit Safety Programs to ensure standards are met.
- Review investigations and corrective actions and provide coaching for improvements.
- Promote safe and healthy workplaces across the province through conducting workplace inspections and enforcing the New Brunswick Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Act and its Regulations.
- Provide expertise, consultation and assistance to clients, Prevention Team, other members of WorkSafeNB as well as internal and external technical committees.
As the ideal candidate you will have 3-5 years experience. You will be Client-focused, Adaptive and Collaborative. Have the ability to think analytically and have attention to detail. You will have good communication skills.
