Venor is proud to partner with Envirem Organics Inc. in their for a Health, Safety and Compliance Manager to manage and oversee health, safety, truck compliance and also provide HR support.
Our client, Envirem Organics, operates 9 locations in the Maritime Provinces and Maine and specializes in manufacturing bio-products for the lawn, garden, turf, landscape, organic agriculture and biofuels markets.
Responsibilities
- Promote high safety standards and provide support on Health & Safety responsibilities with all employees
- Conduct & lead risk assessments; train others in the risk assessment process
- Review, assess and work with team member to resolve hazards; track progress
- Ensure compliance with corporate Health & Safety policies and provincial regulatory requirements
- Conduct incident and accident investigations; complete root-cause analyses to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Provide guidance to management on safety standards & best practices.
- Audit safety programs to ensure standards are met.
As the ideal candidate you have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the health & safety field, ideally from the trucking industry or obtained CRSP/CHSEP certifications. You will be client-focused, adaptive, and collaborative with the ability to think analytically with an attention to detail mindset that is able to leverage your strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
