For over 50 years, TrueFoam has provided innovative insulation products to contractors and building supply dealers throughout Atlantic Canada. TrueFoam manufactures a complete range of cost-effective insulation solutions designed to provide customers with the utmost comfort and maximum energy savings.
Reporting directly to the President, the HRBP will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving TrueFoam’s people and culture strategy. With new ownership ushering in an exciting period of transformation, this is a rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial HR professional to build and influence programs within a thriving, well-established organization. As a key leader in this evolution, you’ll spearhead new employee initiatives, design impactful programs from the ground up, and make a lasting mark on the company’s culture. What You’ll Be Doing
Talent Acquisition and Retention
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent while overseeing job descriptions and employment contracts.
- Manage onboarding programs to ensure seamless integration of new hires and design employee retention initiatives to reduce turnover and maintain a motivated workforce.
Training and Career Development
- Identify training needs and create programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Facilitate continuous learning, establish clear career pathways for both hourly and salaried staff, and implement succession planning to develop future leaders within the organization.
Performance Management
- Oversee performance management systems, including quarterly reviews and evaluations, while guiding compensation reviews to maintain competitive and equitable remuneration.
Compensation and Benefits
- Develop and manage the wage grid and budgets to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
- Oversee employee benefits programs to align with company objectives and meet employee needs.
Occupational Health and Safety
- Support occupational health and safety programs in collaboration with OHSA committees and external agencies to ensure compliance.
- Manage return-to-work programs to facilitate employees’ reintegration.
General HR, People and Culture
- Develop and update HR manuals, handbooks, and policies while ensuring compliance with labor laws.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, fostering a positive work environment.
- Oversee employee engagement surveys, manage feedback processes, and implement initiatives to enhance engagement and eNPS.
- Lead HR technology development, support organizational change initiatives, and advise management on HR implications of strategic decisions.
- Oversee people and culture events and activities across the organization.
What We’re Looking For
As the ideal candidate, you hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field, coupled with a CPHR designation. You bring 3-5 years of HR experience, ideally in program development and strategy, with exposure to manufacturing and hourly employees being an asset.
You also possess strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, along with proficiency in HRIS tools and office productivity software (Google Suite). As a self-motivated, adaptable, and results-driven professional, you think strategically, develop and execute programs independently, and take ownership of your responsibilities while continuously learning and improving.
Please note that some travel is expected in this role to help support other locations throughout Atlantic Canada.
