Venor is proud to partner with our client to recruit a Human Resource Manager to join their team in Moncton, NB.

Our client is a well-established construction company that has been providing top-tier services across the Maritime provinces. 

Reporting to the General Manager, the HR Manager will lead all HR functions within the business including employee engagement, talent & performance management, onboarding/orientation, benefits & incentive compensation, training and development, recruitment administration, and HR policies and programs. With HR viewed as a strategic business partner, this is an opportunity to make an impact by championing new people & culture initiatives in a forward-thinking organization. The HR Manager role is pivotal in driving organizational growth and success through strategic human resources management.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Ongoing delivery and continuous improvement of all human resources programs including compensation, benefits & leave, employee recognition, performance management, recruitment and administration.
  • Cultivating strong employee relations by providing support, addressing concerns, and fostering a culture of respect and collaboration.
  • Managing recruitment activities, appointment, re-appointment, termination, and leaves 
  • Maintaining secure, confidential personnel files and ensuring relevant due dates are kept current.
  • Ensuring compliance with labor laws and organizational policies, fostering a fair and equitable workplace for all employees.
  • Conducting exit interviews with resigning employees to obtain feedback on how the organization can improve.
  • Oversee the organization’s safety program, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Assess the organization’s training needs and develop comprehensive training plans.
  • Staying up-to-date on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with a successful track record in human resource management. You will be a role model of integrity, and effective at maintaining an environment where collaboration, open communication, building relationships and continuous improvement are encouraged and valued.

The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of progressive experience as an HR leader, along with at least 1 year of supervisory experience. This background will include senior-level involvement in internal communications, employee relations, recruitment and retention, as well as compensation and benefits. You have a proven track record of implementing HR best practices that deliver measurable results. Bilingualism in English and French is required
