Position Overview: 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. Reporting to the Director, this role provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise in commercial HVAC systems while assisting the sales team in meeting customer needs. The successful candidate will play a critical role in product selection, customer support, and project management, ensuring the highest level of service and satisfaction.

The company provides consultative technical support on the latest HVAC solutions for the construction community in Quebec and the Maritimes with offices in Quebec, Laval, and Halifax.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Selection & Technical Support: Assist in selecting appropriate HVAC products for various applications, ensuring they align with customer and project requirements.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with engineers to support the design and implementation of mechanical systems in partnership with contractors and engineering firms.
  • Customer Service & Follow-ups: Provide high-level customer service, ensuring consistent and thorough follow-ups to support ongoing projects and client needs.
  • Project Management: Oversee project progress from quotation to completion, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to deadlines.
  • Knowledge Development: Continuously expand technical knowledge through collaboration with ITC Technologies’ suppliers and internal training programs.
  • Technical Presentations: Develop expertise to eventually conduct technical presentations on product features, installation procedures, and applications.
  • Quote Preparation: Assist in the preparation of accurate and competitive quotations to support the sales process.
  • Market Analysis: Identify and understand competitive positioning of products to ensure strategic market alignment.
  • Technology Awareness: Stay informed about new and emerging technologies in the HVAC industry and contribute to ITC Technologies’ market positioning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 0 to 3 years of experience in the HVAC industry.
  • College degree in MET or Building Mechanics.
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building, or Construction.
  • A P. Eng is an asset.
  • Strong learning ability with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • High attention to detail and quality to ensure precise and professional work output.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Active listening and sound decision-making abilities to enhance customer interactions.
  • Strong sales, customer service, and follow-up skills with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of the HVAC industry is a must.
