Venor is proud to partner with our client, Gautam LeBlanc MacPhee CPA in their search for an Intermediate Accountant.

Gautam LeBlanc MacPhee CPA offers assurance, accounting, tax and consulting services to small and medium-sized owner-managed organizations. They offer assistance to both profit-oriented and non-profit-oriented entities.

Reporting to the Partner, the Intermediate Accountant will work collaboratively with team members and partners to problem solve, facilitate decision-making, documentation, and management of client expectations. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Planning and preparing year end engagement, primarily compilation.
• Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.
• Preparation of tax compliance filings such as payroll, HST, T4 and T5 returns.
• Provide bookkeeping for some clients.
• Provide support for clients to set up their accounting and internal control systems.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce or BBA in Accounting as well as a CPA designation with 1 – 3 years of experience. You are a proactive and detail-oriented problem solver with strong financial and analytical comprehension, exceptional time management and prioritization skills, and are proficient in financial statement preparation. You possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, enjoy being challenged, are highly professional and value client confidentiality. Experience with CaseWare is an advantage, but not necessary.  

The Intermediate Accountant will effectively communicate and display their interpersonal skills across a collaborative team and engaged client base.
