Venor is proud to partner with ‍OverlayAnalytics in their search for a Lead Product Designer. Recognized as one of the most promising data and analytics startups in the world, OverlayAnalytics is now expanding into Nova Scotia. Winners of the 2021 Global Snowflake Startup Challenge, OverlayAnalytics provides a strategic analytics platform that gives their clients a format-agnostic, streaming data pipeline that drives real-time data processing, transformation, analytics, and actionable business intelligence. On their behalf, we’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to manage the design and UX of their world-class platform.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work hand in hand with product managers and lead developers throughout the discovery, design, and development process to bring great ideas to life
  • Define the problem, create low-fidelity prototypes conduct stakeholder and user testing, refined designs based on user feedback
  • Participate and lead product design ideations
  • Maintain and evolve OA’s application style kits and branding
  • Assist as needed with company marketing assets
  • Create user flows, design documentation, prototypes, high-fidelity mocks, and other UX deliverables
  • Research the design and UX of competing products
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to conduct exploratory research in the form of customer interviews, surveys, and field observation

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in a professional Product Designer role
  • Experience designing consumer-facing experiences for web and mobile
  • Able to manage your own time on single or multiple projects, whether working independently or collaboratively with a team
  • Deep knowledge of UX industry standards and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD etc.

Bonus points for:

  • Loves starting with low fidelity and driving a design to high-fidelity
  • Understands high design standards and balances that with developing products quickly and iterating based on feedback
  • Driven by metrics, data, and research and empathetic towards user needs
