Trustees and advisors have been working collaboratively with lenders and debtors at all levels to help protect their interests.


  • Responsible for the delivery of consumer insolvency services
  • Act as Licensed Insolvency Trustee for consumer practice riles including bankruptcies, proposals and
  • receiverships
  • Conduct meetings with debtors on complex engagements
  • Assist in building the Insolvency practice and market share; promote and generate new engagements
  • Execute formal and informal restructurings, which may involve taking possession of assets, operating
  • insolvent entities and dealing with stakeholders through periods of crisis
  • Deliver advice corresponding to bankruptcy laws and practices
  • Advise lenders, creditors or shareholders through financial reviews, business turnarounds, bankruptcies, and liquidations
  • Prepare and review all relevant BIA documentation including Statement of Affairs, 170 Reports, Court Orders and Affidavits, Certificate of Discharge, Trustee’s Supplementary Report to Court, Pre and Post Bankruptcy
  • Tax Returns and Final Statement of Receipts and Disbursements
  • Accountable for project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
  • Plan, budget, schedule and coordinate engagements
  • Raise awareness of MNP through discussions at community events including client and company sponsored functions
  • Network in the local business community and consider business development opportunities

Skills and Experience

  • Possess a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional and Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) designation
  • Registered Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA) Counsellor (have completed Counselling Course and Administrator Course), Commissioner for Oaths
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in insolvency
  • Experience in the legal or financial industries is considered an asset; particularly experience consulting with potential insolvents
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and experience with Ascend software
  • Willing and able to travel
