Position Summary:
The Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis will play a critical role in enabling ReCover’s mission through robust financial planning and reporting. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position provides strategic financial support to internal project teams and ensures alignment with funding and organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with project teams to develop and maintain reliable project financial forecasts that align with strategic and funding goals.
- Performing budget-to-actual analyses, identifying key variances and trends, and providing timely, actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Leading the preparation of quarterly board reports summarizing financial performance, major variances, and strategic recommendations.
- Supporting and collaborating with the project teams in updating budgets tied to government funding agreements, analyzing spend forecasts vs. funding allocations.
- Building and enhancing financial models to improve budgeting, forecasting, and reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Preparing and submitting monthly and quarterly claims to government funders, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Managing the preparation of annual government funding filings, including detailed financial summaries and documentation.
- Coordinating financial reporting for philanthropic funders and lenders, in accordance with specific agreement terms.
- Assisting with cash forecasting to support long-term planning and liquidity management.
- Leading the organization’s annual budgeting process in collaboration with cross-functional departments.
Qualifications and Skills:
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, along with a CPA designation. With at least five years of progressive experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or reporting, they bring a strong foundation of technical and strategic expertise. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel—including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and macros—is essential, and experience with financial modeling and forecasting tools is highly valued. A background working with government funding programs and associated reporting requirements will be considered a strong asset. The successful candidate is a clear and confident communicator, capable of translating complex financial data for diverse stakeholders. Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, they excel at managing multiple priorities with precision in a fast-paced environment.
