Manufacturing Engineer

Venor is proud to partner with Envirem Organics Inc. in their search for a Manufacturing Engineer. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing; as a Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for optimizing production processes, improving product quality, and ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. 

Our client, Envirem Organics, operates 9 locations in the Maritime Provinces and Maine and specializes in manufacturing bio-products for the lawn, garden, turf, landscape, organic agriculture and biofuels markets.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Complete weekly production schedules with the input from sales and forecasting teams within the organization.
  • Oversee the inventory management process on site, ensuring accurate inventory is reported to the enterprise.
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, improve KPI’s, and minimize waste to achieve production goals.
  • Oversee the quality control department who ensures product quality and consistency by designing and implementing quality control measures, issuing non-compliances and monitoring preventative actions.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to ensure consistency and smooth knowledge transfer among team members.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce manufacturing expenses without compromising product quality.

As the ideal candidate you will have 4 – 6 years of experience. You will have the ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of an organization; ability to manage and drive sales plans from beginning to end and excellent listening, presentation skills and communication skills. Work closely with the plant manager, sales department and local on-site departments to foster a collaborative environment that facilitates seamless product development and production.

As a successful candidate you will play a pivotal role in enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cutting-edge manufacturing strategies, maintaining our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
