Marketing Communications Coordinator

World Energy GH2 Inc., a Newfoundland and Labrador-based renewable energy company, will harness Newfoundland and Labrador’s wind energy to develop the fuel of the future. World Energy GH2’s Project Nujio’qonik aims to be Canada’s first commercial green hydrogen/ammonia producer created from 3+ Gigawatts of wind energy in one of the world’s best wind resource regions. As World Energy GH2 focuses on completing environmental studies, advancing this new industry in Atlantic Canada, and contributing to climate change mitigation on a large scale, an outstanding team is required to support and develop this innovative project.

Working with the Public and Regulatory Affairs team, the Marketing Communications Coordinator will play a key role in developing and executing integrated marketing communications plans, materials, campaigns, events and reports. Your responsibilities encompass a range of critical tasks, including: coordinating projects from the initial kickoff to research, analysis, communication, and evaluation; analyzing, measuring, and reporting results in relation to KPIs; conducting media monitoring to stay informed of industry trends and developments; coordinating meetings and events; working with the agency of record on key projects and materials; and supporting marketing communications activities. 

As an ideal candidate, you have strong project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional analytical and communication abilities. You possess a degree in communications, public relations, business, or a related field, along with a minimum of two years’ experience in building and executing communications plans, or an equivalent mix of education and experience. You are a planner, writer, and creative thinker who brings a strategic mindset to the table, along with a solid understanding of marketing-communications channels, platforms, and best practices that enable you to focus on goals, objectives and anticipate the needs of target audiences to inform effective strategies and tactics. 

Your exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, paired with your strong presentation abilities and ability to listen proactively to anticipate audience needs, make you a confident and effective communicator under pressure. You are highly motivated, adaptable, and able to work well independently and with a team, with a willingness to handle administrative tasks with care and jump in where you are needed. A high-level of proficiency in Microsoft 365, and some travel, including to the west coast, nationally, and internationally, is required.
