On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for a Network Administrator.

The client is a well-established full-service provider of retail consumer products. The Network Administrator will be an integral part of our Clients Team directly responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing local networks.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) you will be responsible for service and support to our internal teams, take on related challenges, and support cloud-based systems, hardware and software, network infrastructure, phone system, and many other related areas.

Key responsibilities

  • Assume a primary role in the analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of incidents and problems
  • Set up and support in person, by phone, email, and remotely connecting staff computers and shared equipment, including desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, etc.
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software and software applications
  • Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to coordinate access and use of computer networks
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users
  • Perform routine hardware/software maintenance processes, including upgrades, replacements, imaging, data recovery, diagnostics, and anti-virus procedures.
  • Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records
  • Perform shell scripting or other basic scripting tasks
  • Performing capacity analysis and planning to ensure network capacity accommodates current and future business requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support roles. Have knowledge of SQL, EDI and DOS with high attention to detail. You will be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised, have strong written and oral communication skills and Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
