Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Associate to join their team on a 4-month contract to support a major payroll reconciliation project. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process for ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer full-cycle payroll for both unionized and non unionized employees.
- Lead a large-scale reconciliation and payroll clean-up, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Manually reconcile payroll data across multiple pay periods.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian payroll legislation (federal and provincial).
- Process and maintain payroll records using ADP and PeopleSoft.
- Partner with HR and Finance to ensure accurate reporting and audit readiness.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of Canadian payroll experience in a large organization (3,000+ employees preferred).
- Deep knowledge of Canadian payroll and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manually reconcile and audit full payroll cycles.
- Experience with ADP and PeopleSoft systems.
- Experience with unionized and non-unionized environments.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and deadline-driven.
- Able to work on-site 4 days per week for the contract term.
Contract Details:
- Duration: 4 months (immediate start)
- On-site: 4 days/week
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
