Sustane was founded with the purpose of creating a clean and sustainable world for ourselves and for future generations. As a clean technology company focused on waste transformation, they have developed and commercialized a set of disruptive processes to transform municipal solid waste (MSW) streams into high value fuels and recyclable materials.
As they continue to grow, Venor is supporting Sustane in seeking a Plant Maintenance Lead who is a hands-on team leader with a creative and energetic outlook, to join their dynamic team.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Plant Maintenance Lead will be responsible for diverse activities involving planned and unplanned repair and maintenance of the equipment and facilities. They will designate and monitor the work of the team to achieve the completion of tasks. This role ensures maintenance work is adequately planned and jobs are properly supervised. Additionally, the Plant Maintenance Lead will work closely with suppliers and plant operators to ensure implementation of appropriate preventive maintenance processes for all equipment.
The Maintenance Lead will ensure that appropriate levels of inventory are maintained for equipment spare parts and other critical materials while arranging the supply of parts and services. Leading thorough troubleshooting to replace or repair equipment in response to breakdowns, the incumbent will be “hands-on” wherever required and will apply problem-solving methods in identifying the root cause of all equipment failures. Adhering to all procurement procedures, the Maintenance Lead will work with the Plant Administrator to ensure proper spending controls for work performed as well as lead estimates for cost of labor and materials needed for work orders, ensuring competitive pricing for all jobs. As a champion of safety, adhering to safety and environmental policies, regulations and compliance while completing Job Risk/Task Assessments, incident reports and incident root cause analyses is critical. The Maintenance Lead will assist in developing and updating maintenance standard operating procedures and training materials.
